Jenny had a question about politics then the newcomer came in. Jenny looked at the newcomer then to Val. She would have to make sure to lock her door. She understood the not same part, from what Val said she understood brood apparently meant family or family-like societal structure by like-minded individuals. Her function, she had no clue, she used to. "Function? No clue." She feared what would happen to her if she didn't find meaning in her life. Her father's best friend had no purpose he went through the motions day after day aimless and lost until he decided a shotgun to the face was better than another day. She never forgot finding him like that in the outhouse. She feared she would end up like him unable to end it and suffer endlessly for eternity. The sadness was apparent on her face.
