Max frowned and watched the coach leave before looking to Serenity and River and smiling. "It's fine. It's nice to meet you, Serenity. I'm your new tutor, Max Loveless. Just call me Max." Then he looked to her friend and noted her discomfort and tried to disarm the situation with a smile and a nod. "And who's your friend?"
