River continued to keep Chris busy while Tam and Serenity spoke, happy to be distracted from her personal problems. She honestly believed that Serenity deserved more friends and hated how everyone only wanted the blond to "win" all the time.

It was exhausting, even for the photographer.

"Rocky road." Max said firmly, locking eyes with Kent.

Kent met Max's gaze and shrugged before getting to work at getting the ice cream. "So long as you follow the store policy of no pets," He muttered.

Completely oblivious to Kent's rude behavior, the blond grinned as he spoke up. "I'll just take chocolate." He found a booth for them to sit at and plopped down, grinning at Max.

Glancing to the brunette to make sure he wasn't watching, he whispered to his friend. "Slide Bonnie into my backpack. I know her claws are hurting you, dude."
