Goth Girl Shopping!

Kent let out a heavy sigh and looked to Tam. "Brandon and his gang are...we did a lot of bad things, got into fights...I used them as a cover to hide what my dad did to me." He explained slowly. "But when they wanted me to do something I never want to do, I walked. I guess Brandon hasn't accepted that."

Rubbing the back of his head he glanced around and was happy to see no more of the gang members. "We should be fine, but if any of them show up again, call me immediately, Tam. I'll deal with Brandon and his idiots."

He would never let them touch the two people he considered family.

River frowned as she looked to Serenity. "Look, Noah was...a technology expert. He was a hacker." She explained and fiddled with a loose thread in her short. "Don't worry about it."

Getting up, she headed for the front door. "Finish your lesson. I'll see you at the apartment." She said with a wave before leaving.

Instead of going straight to the apartment, though, River went to the local store and started to hunt down ingredients for healthy meals and snacks. She wanted to make sure her friend was eating healthy while still keeping her weight at a decent level. The gothic girl stood out horribly in the store, but tried to ignore the anxiety in her gut as she shopped.

She just silently worried someone would speak to her.

Back with Max, Lisa, and Serenity, both the possum and mouse were happily playing in a corner at this point, finally staying out of everyone's way. They did, however, keep giving Max a look that said "call that man".
