Without a second thought Tam nodded and said: "I'm coming over." Then with a look to Serenity she said: "We need to help River."

Jonah frowned. "What's going on?"

"Nothing good." Tam said. "The fucker who... hurt River escaped prison..."

Jonah could connect the dots pretty quickly. "We can take my car."

Lisa frowned. "Who hurt that girl?" Jonah gave her a look that told her not to pry, she simply nodded. "Then let's go help River."

Tam sighed and looked to Kent. "Baby... could you look after Chris for a bit? You both are still healing so I don't think he'll be any trouble. Just call me if you need me back..." Then she sighed as she gathered her coat.

Once they arrived at River's home, Jonah opted to stay outside in his car, partly for River's benefit and partly because he had something to do. "You all go and help her. I'll stay out here..."

And once the girls were gone Jonah pulled out his phone and made a call. "It's me... I need you to find everything you know about a recent escaped prisoner... I don't know his name, but he was convicted of raping a River Vallerin... Yes... Put a rush on it, okay?"

Max shrugged. "Then I'll leave it up to you if you want to come along, Mr. Andrews." Then he fell quiet as Kevin's mom noted his and Kevin's closeness. "I... I know he wants a family... He's said as much..." He suddenly felt a rock form in the pit of his gut and he couldn't look at Kevin's mom. "It's fine though... I don't mind just being his friend..."

He really wished that Kevin's mom wasn't so intuitive.
