River glanced down at the shotgun, recalling why she had gotten it in the first place. The horrible memory of that night swam through her mind, sending chills down her spine over and over again. Tears were spilling down her face. "I..." She choked out the word and glanced to the walls.

Kevin snorted. "Good luck getting mom NOT to clean your place, Max. Woman is a clean machine." He explained with a grin and got up. "I'm going to get ready for work." Slipping down the hall, he went into the bathroom in order to get ready.

With a glance down the hall to make sure Kevin was out of earshot, she smiled. "I just think you an' Kevin seem a bit close is all. Yer quite the catch, young man."

Mr. Andrews frowned. "Dear, our son wants to make a family..."

"I know, I know..." Mrs. Andrews sighed as she started on the dishes.

Bonnie, being the sneaky little possum she was, had stolen a few more snacks and was feeding herself and Jr. until they were both happy and full.
