I'm Fine Never Means Fine

River jumped when her phone rang and had to fumble with it before answering in a shaky voice. "Yes? Hello?" She asked and upon hearing Tam's voice calmed a bit. "Oh, I'm...uh...I'm okay. Just...too many men and your...cousin? Yeah, he was a cousin, right? He stared a little too long and I just...I'm sorry."

She bit at her bottom lip, too afraid to bring up the news she had gotten.

"I'm fine." River finally stated after a long moment.

Kevin nodded and finished his breakfast, sliding a plate full of food over to where his mother as she took the seat Max had pulled out for her. "Oh, Kevin, dear," Mrs. Andrews chimed. "Where did ya find this sweet man? He's such a gentleman!"

"Mom..." Kevin groaned. "Don't start."

"Fine, fine," She sighed and got to eating.

Mr. Andrews shrugged as he finished his food. "I'm find going with you, but knowing my wife she'll want to stay here and clean."
