Kent visibly grimaced when he realized Jonah was eyeing his bruises. After shaking Lisa's hand, he looked toward the door. "That sounds like Serenity and the others..." He said.

After saying their goodbyes to Yazuhiko, River stuck by Chris and Serenity until they arrived at the apartment. "After we drop him off I'm going to head home, Serenity. I really should try living in the place I pay for." She said with a slight giggle as they waited for the door to be answered.

Kevin nodded with another sigh, glancing toward Bonnie and Jr. Deep down, he had a sinking feeling about all of this, but was unwilling to speak about it. "We should try getting some sleep. Don't you have to tutor Serenity tomorrow?" He stated.

When it was morning, Paul made sure to keep his word. His daughter was taken away, sent to an asylum he did not wish to send her to. For years he had hoped that maybe she would grow up properly, not be like her mother, but he had been wrong.
