Veronica looked over Kent, making note of the various broken and poorly healed bones, the leg she paid special attention too after noting his limp. "You poor thing... I was told you lived in an abusive home by... well Serenity... she was particular I take care of you." She chuckled then looked to Kent. "We need an x-ray of your chest and leg." She sighed then. "Though even from what I can see, you're gonna need surgery for the leg. Once I get a good look at the damage I can figure out if we can give you full functionality back."

She knew this was going to be a lot to the poor boy, but she was just doing her job.

Chris smiled. "Can we build those lego models???"

Max smiled. "Yes, I am. It's good to meet you two." Then he grimaced. "Well... yeah I don't know what to say to be honest. This whole thing has been crazy... But I got my lawyer working on it. Trying to work out the best possible outcome for this mess.

Renee was indeed working on Kevin's case... however she was so focused on the job she had completely forgotten about the fact she was supposed to meet Tam at a preliminary custody hearing.

An oversight that all but convinced the judge to throw the case out and grant custody to Tam right then and there.

All of this no doubt took place after Tam and Kent got back from the hospital, and will no doubt be celebrated later on when everything everyone else is doing.
