Kent wrapped his arms around Tam in a hug, avoiding dropping the bag he brought from the store. "I got all the things you asked for." He informed her before kissing her forehead gently. "Work was the same as ever. Boring and loud."

River jumped when Serenity fell and the waffle mix went all over, even into both of their hair. "Okay, go get cleaned up young lady." She said calmly and helped the ice skater to her feet. "I want you to relax and just be lazy for a little while. Remember what the doctor said." Shooing Serenity toward the hallway, she ignored the mess for now got back to work.

"Just step around the mess for now, guy." She said as she finished up a few waffles. "I'll clean it up when I'm done."

Kevin hid his face in his hands. "I know..." He groaned and began to tug at his hair again. "And, honestly, I'm more afraid of mom than anything Layla can get me in trouble for..." It was true, his parents were very good people, but when angered they were scary. Sadly, he was less worried about the anger and more concerned with the disappointment. Despite the twelve year difference between the two, his mother had always been very mature and very scary.
