Press That Panic Button, Blondie!

River grimaced and nodded. "Chris is a very sweet kid." She said before glancing to the nearest window. "But I don't normally attract sweet guys like him. Even before my asshole boyfriend did what he did, most guys just assumed I was an easy lay because I dress in all black."

Sipping her water, she sighed. "I'm just scared that's all I'll be to guys..."

Kevin was on the phone, flinching as his father yelled through the phone. A flurry of curses and threats could be heard before a woman's voice finally spoke. A look of pure fear entered his eyes as he listened for a long moment. "Uh...but...mom, I..." He tried to reason with her.

"You better fucking apologize to your friend!" The woman could be heard finally screaming. "We are coming there as soon as possible to set you straight, you dumb boy! I will not have my son go to prison over some blue haired city whore!"

The call ended with his mother hanging up and Kevin could only whimper.

Max returned to the living room. "Renee is gonna try and work some things out." Then he sat in his chair and buried his face in his hands before rubbing his head. "Jesus fucking Christ, Kevin. I mean... you've done some dumb fucking things in the past but this... this takes the fucking cake..."

Kevin groaned and dropped his phone into his backpack. "I'm an idiot, I know...I was just...she just...she cornered me and I...I'm just stupid. I'm fucking stupid..." He could not think of anything better to say, trying his hardest to keep from freaking out.

Though, if Bonnie's constant nuzzling and cuddling was any indication, he was already panicking.

"I'm sorry, Max..." Kevin finally said after a long moment.
