Max was silent the entire ride home. He wasn't quite sure what to say, or if he should even say anything. He still felt hurt, angry, and scared all at the same time. And now he was trying to figure out how to get Kevin out of this mess.

And it only worried him more that he couldn't think of a way.

When they got to Max's home he told Kevin to sit in the living room and relax. "I'm gonna call Renee. We need to get ahead of this..." He turned and pulled his phone out of his pocket and went upstairs to his bedroom to tell Renee about this new event.
