It's Just A Good Thing She Doesn't Have A Katana

Renee didn't betray the rage boiling in her gut, except for a single twitch of her right eye. "If you want to play this way, Tam, then fine. We'll play it that way. But you're going to lose..." Max could see the discomfort in Kevin's eyes and finally sighed. "Kevin... I'm sorry I put you in this weird position... It's not fair to you, and I haven't been a very good friend because of it. I promise that I won't... make this weird..." He shrugged, not sure how to explain it. "You're my best friend, Kevin... I don't want to ruin that." He pet the sleeping possum as he spoke, her little ball of warmth seemed to help him relax. "I hope you know that."
