Uh-Oh Is An Understatement
River jumped and fell off the couch when she heard Serenity yell. "What?" She moaned as her brain fought through the fog of sleep to meet up with reality. "Serenity, was that the couch? Do I need to report him already?"

Kent jumped slightly when he heard the door close and lock, looking to Tamara with a blush on his face. "They'll heal," He said, trying to sound reassuring. "I'll be fine in due time." The feeling of her fingers on his skin was strangely soothing and he instinctively settled a hand on her hip.
It was hard to think about his own problems, yet this girl was worried and cared. It was unusual for him to have someone actually care. The last person that had cared was his mother.

As his work day went by, Kevin felt pretty good and confident that nothing bad would happen. Sure the night before had been pretty hectic and weird. He had even found out his best friend was gay, but that was no issue with the blond. The novelist would always be his best friend no matter what.

"You know I don't buy the whole 'I'm gay' things, right?"
So surprised by blue haired girl's voice, Kevin almost dropped his keys and turned to look at her. "Didn't Stefan chase you off? I'm sure he told you I'm too old for you." He said with a frown.
Flipping her blue hair back, the girl grabbed onto Kevin's arm. "Oh, please, age is nothing." She said with a small smirk. "The name is Layla, by the way."
Jerking his arm away, the blond adjusted his backpack. "Well, Layla, I need to head home. You should do the same." With a quick turn, he started to walk away and silently prayed Max would show up soon.
"I like the scar, by the way."
The shock of hearing that stopped Kevin in his tracks. "What?"
