Mischievous Possum Day

Kent happily sat and watched movies with the girls until it was time to get some sleep. Just being with Tam brought him a lot of comfort, but in the back of his mind he was still worrying about what to do. The rest of his stuff was in the house and his father had used all of his money to pay off medical bills.

He was scared he'd never get out of this town now.

Well, he wasn't so scared anymore. Glancing to Tam, he smiled again before getting up. "I'm gonna get ready for bed." He told her, chuckling at both River and Serenity, who had both falling asleep snuggled in their blankets. "Those two seem to have beaten us to dreamland."

Heading to the room that Serenity let him use the night before, Kent began to dig through his bag for his toothbrush and some toothpaste, grumbling about needing to buy a new one. Grabbing some clean clothes as well, he went to the bathroom, fully intending to get a quick shower.

Without realizing it, he left the door slightly ajar and pulled off his shirt to look at the many bruises on his chest and stomach. It was good that his limp had improved a little the past few days, but he still worried about the abnormal pain in his side.

He only prayed Tam and the other two didn't ask questions.

Kevin groaned. "Yeah, she did...Stefan chased her off, though." He chuckled as he pet Bonnie and headed for the door. "I'll be back after work, Bonnie! Don't drive Max too crazy!"

The moment both Kevin and Max were out the door, Bonnie raised her head. Tail swaying slightly, she hopped from the back of the couch and made her way to the kitchen where she began to climb up cabinets and pull open drawers. Her little paws pulled utensils out and tossed them about when she realized they weren't food, leaving little bite marks on everything.

After getting every cabinet and drawer open, spilling supplies and food everywhere, she finally found a bag of chips and ripped it open.

By the time Max returned home, she will have eaten half the bag of chips.
