Still A Ways Off

Tam blushed when Kent pulled her to him, and as she looked up at him she once again wanted to kiss him. "That sounds like fun, I bet Serenity would love that."

"Well, since we're done, should we try to see when Tam's brother will be allowed out of the hospital?"

Tam nodded, she did need to see how Chris was doing. So she grabbed her phone, still not quite wanting to pull away from Kent, and dialed the hospital.

She let out a sigh of relief after hanging up. "They said he's doing better. However it's gonna be a couple more days until they'll think about letting him go home." She sighed and pulled Kent into a hug as her anxiety threatened to steal her sanity away. "I just want him home..."

Max shook his head and put his hand on Kevin's shoulder. "Hey, don't sweat it. I understand."

With another sigh, he finally looked to Max. "There's someone out there for you, man. I know it."

At this he merely shrugged and finally left to take a shower and try to forget how embarrassed he felt about this whole thing.
