Tam continued to glare at the cashier before leaning into Kent's arms and nodding. "Fine... But..." She hissed through her teeth. "Fuck this... I want to go home now..." She was more tired of seeing the nasty looks people were giving Kent than anything. "Can we go back, Serenity?"

Max jolted in surprise by Kevin grabbing his arm and almost jumped. "I'm just... You... I keep telling you that you need more confidence. And I hate it when you keep saying mean things about yourself... You're going to find someone, Kevin. You're a great guy..." He didn't want to say anymore, it hurt him to think of how Kevin would take it if he said anymore. He prayed that would be enough to let him go.
