I Ship Them Too

Tam just silently smiled as they got into the limo and drove to the mall. Once they got out, she noted Kent's discomfort at being here and took his hand in hers. She nodded to Serenity and River with a smile. "We can meet up at the food court after you two are done with your manicure." She squeezed Kent's hand and looked up at him. She couldn't hide the fact she was genuinely happy to be here with him. Even though the shadow of what had happened to Chris loomed over her constantly, Kent seemed to make it feel more distant, easier to cope with.

"Why do I feel like they wanted us to do this?" Kent asked.

Tam tilted her head and gave him a somewhat concerned look. "Did you not want to?" She began to worry she had forced him into this.

Max chuckled as he held Bonnie in one arm and pet her with the other. He went over to Kevin and put his non-possum-carrying arm around his shoulder. "How could you tell? My sweet Kevin is always afraid of showing me off. He's still a bit worried people will judge him. I keep telling him it's the 21st Century, people don't care if you're gay and loving it!" The devilish smile on his face as he looked to Kevin was evident.
