You've Got Friends

Kent silently watched as Serenity and Tamara spoke. He understood the panic and why the pizza delivery girl would not wish to call lawyers in. The risk of losing Chris was always there, but from what he heard Serenity say, it would most likely be okay.

"Give it a chance, Tamara," He said as he walked over to them. "From what she's saying, it should be okay. Plus, you've got friends here to help." It was obvious he spoke of the others, not himself.

He knew the only way to escape his own father was to simply leave, but how could do that if he had no savings?

Kevin grimaced and scratched at his chin. "Well, there was a girl in my town that my dad had to call the cops for cause her brother was doing things...It turned into a huge ordeal where her brother went to prison...I know it's not the same situation, but if something isn't done..."

The blond reached over and pet Bonnie gently. "It could end bad, Max. Real bad."
