Compromises

River thought for a moment, tilting her head to the side. "I see," She murmured and looked at the screen of her camera. "She is book smart, but socially...well, you've noticed how shy she is. I've been helping her be more social, but it takes time when you're so shy."

Glancing to her friend and Chris, she got an idea. "Hey, I have the Transformers television series on DVD. If you give Sailor Moon a try we can watch Transformers all you want along with choosing the music for Serenity's next performance, Chris. How does that sound?" She said with a smile.

Kent went quiet again, a look of discomfort written all over his face. He never did like to talk about the other things his father had done to him. Getting beat was bad enough, but everything else that came with it was just a nightmare. The scars he hid under his clothes were testament to the horrors his father subjected him to.

"I...He does a lot of things...I'm sorry," The brunette finally said, biting back the emotions trying to claw their way free. "I didn't mean to upset you."
