Hive of Deception
Aegon made his way down into a busier local cantina. He could tell the type instantly, big city gangsters who cared only for themselves. They had nothing better to do than make things harder for everyone else. They'd rat out their own mothers if the situation arose. Baron Aegon hated these kind of characters, they made him sick. As he walked in he spotted plenty pairs of eyes turning to him. A few timely sneers of disapproval too. "You there!" a voice called out. Baron looked around and identified the source of the rough smoked forty Death-sticks a day voice. It was a Besalisk gangster, neatly dressed in a private booth surrounded by Twi'lek models likely hired.
Baron approached the gangster and sat down. "Were you talking to me?" Aegon asked
"Who else would I be talking to? Of course it was you I wanted." The Besalisk chewed on a thick brown cigar. "You with the Rebellion?"
"Who's asking?"
"I am. I'm asking! The name is Mojokerto."
"Why should I tell you anything... Mojokerto?" Aegon leaned closer in.
"Because I know you are having problems on Denon, I know you came here for a droid. I know you are looking to find who took it from you."
"Tell me who took it!" Baron huffed. Mojokerto clicked his neck and adjusted his position on the seat. "Information is valuable rebel!" Mojokerto laughed.
"Maybe but I don't have the credits so how about you do the galaxy some good for once and tell me... is it you?"
"Me, no. Far from it - I am not one for Imperial affairs, I keep all my business on Denon. But I happen to have a rat. A rat working for an individual known as Trantis. I believe Trantis has the information you came to receive."
"What's in it for you?"
"I want you to broker a deal for me, find Trantis and tell him to stay the hell off my home turf. If you do that I promise me and my boys won't cause any issues for your rebellion." Mojokerto had a sly sick look on his face, Baron didn't like it one bit.
"Where is this Trantis?"
"He'll find you probably."
"What if I refuse?"
"I'll contact that Star Destroyer in this system. The Intrepid I believe. I'll tell them that some rebels are on Denon causing problems for the locals."
"What's stopping you from doing that anyway?"
"Nothing, this cantina heck this whole planet is a hive of deception. You can barely trust anyone these days but sometimes what choice do you have."
"Maybe I could just abandon this and jump out of this system."
"Not possible rebel, the Empire would you shoot you out of the sky before your engines are properly running. You have no choice. Sort this deal out and get your information from Trantis."
"I don't like you Mojokerto." Baron stood up and stared Mojokerto as he smiled which quickly turned into a loud obnoxious laugh. "You think I haven't heard that before rebel, you are very wrong." Mojokerto tapped one of the Twi'leks on the shoulder. She got up and escorted Aegon away from the booth. Now he needed to wait for this Trantis individual.
