Looking at the facility Phenix had brought him to, Kye felt the anxiety sink in. This was where they had taken Aurora, wasn't it? He was sure of it. "Aurora," The older teen called as Phenix stopped and sniffed around in frantic gestures. It seemed her scent was mixed with many others, creating difficulty for the animal.

Slipping off the varactyl's back, he held the sniper rifle at the ready and narrowed his eyes toward the large doors between him and the rest of the facility. He could hear shooting and banging coming from the other side as he rushed to a control panel and looked over it.

Yes, he was capable of hacking into things like this, but it was not his greatest ability. He was better with little droids and fixing engines, but this would require a lot of concentration and time. Both were things he did not have much of.

Letting the gun hang from his shoulder by a strap he'd made with old belts, Kye stepped up to the panel and began to work. The doors, though, surprisingly began to open and he looked toward them in shock.

Who had opened the doors?

Grabbing at his sniper rifle, Kye kept to the side in the silent hope that whoever it was would not see him. Such thoughts were childish wishes, for he stood out in this place. Not to mention there was a varactyl with him, letting out hissing chirps toward the door. Phenix stood close to the boy in a protective stance, ready to attack if need be.

Kye could only wait and see who it was that had opened the heavy doors.
