A Joke Among Friends

JD looked relived at Heath's words. Lifting his coke in salute "I am happy for you. here is to you two, Salute!" said JD. Conner did the same taking a drink after his salute. Conner looked at Heath "I guess I should keep this to myself until morning. I guess running up and down the halls yelling Heath and Sam are dating is out of the question right?" Conner said Jokenly. leaning back and putting his feet up resting them on the edge of his desk. if things work out with Conner we all should go on a triple date. To bad Courtney....." He pauses Dam almost messed up thought JD Conner shot a look at JD. "Courtney is still hunting for a guy I hope she finds one. Then it will be a date party with us all" said JD thinking to himself nice save. "what would you call that?" said JD thinking.

Conner leaned his chair back on two legs "Not sure, but it would be fun. Heath, you need to get an old mustang too we could start a club I could help fix it up. still working on JD's I should be done in December." said Conner. JD smiled "O ya, my dad said the body is back and everything is put together. says looks good now all we need is the Tranz and the Engine that's at your house. let me know when you are ready I will bring it over." Conner looked up thinking "just waiting on more parts as always. you know your engine is a pain right JD." said Conner.

Heath lifted his Coke with the two other guys in the room. "Thanks." Said to both of them. Heath laughed at the idea of Conner running up and down the hallway. "Well, I wouldn't do anything to you for doing that but and do you really want to mess with Sam? " He joked. Sam was amazing, wonderful as far as Heath was concerned but everyone knew not to mess with her. She was one of the few girls he had met that could get people to back down with a look. And at the same time, she was incredibly sweet and kind to most people.

Courtney was mentioned and while Heath had no idea about her feelings for him; he did know she wasn't dating anyone. "Well, I'm sure she'll find someone." He wasn't just saying that Courtney was an interesting person, nice, a good friend. "I'm not sure either." Truthfully it sounded like something a girl might know the answer to but a bunch of guys maybe not. "It does sound fun though."

Cars were brought up. "Yeah, that might be sooner than I thought. Apparently, I have some money coming to me or well I'm supposed to. It's a long story. When I get it I'll let you know and then I might be off to buying a car. An old Mustang would be good." He hadn't told anyone that he had heard from his Grandmother from his biological family and she wanted to reconnect with him. She also said that there was money he was supposed to have gotten when he turned 16 which apparently his biological father hadn't told him about. It wasn't a ton of money but it was enough to buy fixer-upper.

He smiled "So Heath how long be for Sam dumps you and looks for someone better," he said joking and laughing. "Wow Conner that was cold," said JD Conner looked over to JD "I was Joking I think he knows that right Heath?" said conner now looking concerned.

Heath threw a small soft stress ball that he had on his desk at Conner. "Hey. " JD mentioned it being cold. "I've known you for years," Heath said to Conner. "If I don't know your joking by now, I never will."
