1st day

The two girls returned JD's "hi" with a friendly "hi" in return. Once the other boy sitting on the bench acknowledge their little gesture of the cup raising they started to talk about classes.

That was until they noticed a girl who seemed to quickly approach the boy. She was pretty and the way she sipped his coffee, smiled at him and his general body language made it seem that there something between the two of them. Neither Sam nor Rose really knew either of them, except the coffee comments on the track, so they both just figured the two were a couple or close to a couple.

"You ready to get some breakfast," Rose asked her roommate.
"Yeah."

The two girls headed off towards the cafeteria. Upon arriving they glanced around quickly finding a table that was fairly empty and sat at the end of it. They ate discussing nothing in particular and then the clock and first bell said it was time to go to first period. The two girls had that class together and off they headed.

They arrived about 30 seconds before the late bell. The teacher closed the door and started talking. The first day of classes had begun.
