Hello everyone.
After a long break I am slowly trying to get back into some of my favourite pastimes. Writing and world building.
I have been toying with the idea of a game set in the not so distance future where mankind has taken the first steps into colonizing our Solar System.
You can see a small glimpse of what the setting might be below.
The game itself at the start will focus around the Archangel Initiative - a group of solitary pilots that are being sent out of our Solar System in search of the first extra Solar site for a Human Colony.
I am planning to have 3 -5 players to start with. The game will be designed to be slow paced at first and I am also toying with the idea of it being turned based at least in the begining.
Meaning that their decisions will have impacts and will generate random events for subsequent posts.
The idea behind these events is to see how adaptable one can be with their characters but to drive the narrative as well.
Despite it being another sci fi game what I am really interested in achieving is to see how players explore the depths of their own characters and how we as writers deal with having minimal input from others into our stories.
Basically I want us to explore what isolation can do to the mind and the sense of self whilst in the background developing and shaping the world where Mankind starts their journey into the stars.
What does one start to question when they find themselves devoid of normal external output?
Where does your mind take you in the depths of the deep dark night?
I welcome everyone's thoughts and thank you for taking the time to read the posts.
