I've noticed that a lot of OW games that were extremely active a month ago seem have petered out somewhat recently. While I don't want any feelings to get hurt by this, I am extremely curious to find out why these awesome games started to struggle. I'm going to list a bunch of games below that were big, and if any of you guys have any insight that you can diplomatically communicate about why that game slowed down, I'd love to hear it in the comments section below.
1. Bare Blood
2. Project Madbird
3. Avengers: Exodus
4. Point Break
5. Survivors
6. Sin City
7. Star Wars: Rogue Moon
8. Building Blocks: The World Building Platform
9. A New Hope
I'm asking this because I think there is a lot to important knowledge to be gleaned about the difficulties that face the Ongoing Worlds Community that we need to be prepared to overcome if we want to have healthy games that can live long and prosper. Sticking our head in the sand and pretending these issues don't exist will get us nowhere, and likewise, keeping any acquired insight about these things to ourselves will benefit Ongoing Worlds less than if we share our knowledge. I'm also working on a discussion post about communication failures that plague OW, and I think I might be able see more of those if we get good feedback to this post.
I look forward to seeing your thoughts, and I ask again that you try to avoid being vindictive toward anyone you might blame for anything that went wrong.
