Let's be honest, you suck at something. Nobody is perfect at whatever they do and there is always some room for improvement.
And you probably suck at more than one thing. I do. I suck at a lot of things. Swimming? Can't do it. Riding a bike? Can't do it. See a new hobby through the first 3 weeks? Barely able.
But we could talk for days and days about what we suck at but, as entertaining as it may be, we shouldn't. I mean, you can if you want, I don't really mind.
So what do we suck at in our writing? What are the things you personally find a but tricky to do?
For me, it's characterisation. Even though this is a pretty simple and elementary concept in writing, I find myself still struggling to make characters have distinct personalities. During writing a post, most characters turn into witty cynics whose only goal is to further the plot (or at least get it to the next joke) If they didn't have the names beside the dialogue you might struggle to tell who is who, and some actions might seem out of the blue.
Of course, I am working on it. Trying to make dialogue, actions and reasoning consistent and distinct between characters. This is especially vital in an RP when you are taking someone else's character and you are expected to write how their creator designed them. I will be the first to admit that I don't think I do it very well all the time. But I am working on it.
What about everyone else?
