Death looks pretty
-on my phone so I don't remember this info-
Winifred smirked and cocked her head to the side, taking in the dancing flames with pleasure. “So, not only is she power hungry, but she is prideful? Pride always gets in the way of victory. In most cases, especially in our deepest parts of history, pride has been the Achilles heel of every warrior or leader. I assume she would be easy to provoke,” Winifred spoke with tenacity. Her thoughts roamed to the less leg work it would take to possibly overthrow her now that she knew the tidbits. Looking over her shoulder at Isai, she momentarily thought about how much bigger this idea had spread- the idea of overthrowing the Queen of Dalen.
Winifred hardly noticed the glances the Orc stole, but noticed how quickly he looked away from her face. Becoming overly sensitive, she lifted her hand to her cheek, as if to brush an unseen particle from her pale features. Offering a kind smile, with an efficient nod, she spoke, “I thank you for your professionalism. It will serve you well, as I'm sure it already has.”
At the request to see her dagger, she rubbed her left thigh from the outside of the robe. Feeling the cool blade tap her skin, the leather strap still damp from being in the bath alongside her, she thumbed the split of her robe at her mid thigh. Pulling the soft fabric to the side, she revealed her pale, soft skin from mid-thigh down. Tugging on the blades golden handle with ease, she released the fabric, letting it fall in its proper place, and placed the dagger on the counter. The blade smooth on all sides, the traces of unicorn blood could be seen on the blade in fine swirls. Most would think it's decorative material, but a craftsman who works with unicorn blood, would know it's just an elegant way to shield the cancer that it was. The blade was light, and well balanced.
Looking down at the dagger with a lustful gaze, she looked back up to the Orc and let out a light giggle. “It was my brothers. It's what he used in attempt to take my Queens life.”
