Frustrations
-Border Forest, Near Jocelynn's Brothel. 0 DSTR, mid-morning-
Any humor that Simon had retained in his attitude was quickly sapped away and replaced with a growing sense of aggravation as Katya spoke. Pushing himself up from the ground, he stood with his arms crossed over his chest as she spoke. It was one thing to speak unkindly of a stranger, despite how familiar Celestia seemed. But, it was another thing entirely to insult him, questioning his intentions and mocking his morals. Narrowing his eyes, he stepped towards Katya as he spoke, his voice lowered in volume in order to force control over the temper invading his speech, "How dare you assume that she would be bewitched, and that I would be unable to realize it. If I thought her a mage or touched by a mage at all, I would end her life immediately. She is but half my size, it would be nothing to take her life. For as many chances that you say she has had to harm me, I have had even more to weigh her purity and strike her down." Gesturing towards Celestia, he continued, "I have killed infants that were believed to be possessed or were showing signs of magical ability. If I thought this woman engaged in magic in any way, I would spill her blood immediately."
Shaking his head, he crossed his arms over his chest again before speaking, "Do not patronize me with speech of my oaths or my honesty. You are awake now anyways, so I am going to the tent to sleep for my shift. You can decide what to do with Celestia, but do not harm her. She has done nothing to deserve harm." Shaking his head, he cast a glance towards the horses and brought his vision across the both of them as he settled his eyes on the tent. His gaze caught on Celestia's features, her eyes in particular, and he gave her another test. He still saw no sign of possession, just the nervous expression of a woman caught between two beings who spoke of killing her as if it was only a task. Shaking his head, he lowered himself into the tent and drew the opening closed. He would have no problem sleeping away his three hours, but he could already feel his dreams drifting in on him as he tried to stay awake and listen to what was happening outside.
Ooc Sorry this is short.
