Nearly There
-Dalen Capital, Gularzob's shop, 0 DSTR-
Lars busied herself with measuring Artem's body, paying no attention to any private areas as she moved the measuring rope around his body. Even coming a hairsbreadth from his genitals, she ignored them and moved quickly to another measurement. Hearing his words between the flurry of activity of sprawling down his measurements, Lars looked up at him and spoke with a grin, "Oh, but my dear Lord, pink is the current it color. If you wish to pose as a noble without pink accents, you might as well walk out of that door and go back from whence you came."
Gesturing towards the door and holding an air of silence for a few seconds, Lars grinned before resting a dainty hand on the man's shoulder before speaking, "Don't you worry yourself with this. Go get bathed and be prepared to speak with Isai. I will have your garment prepared in the meantime."
Isai noticed Winifred's nervous attachment to the collar of her dress, a habit which he hoped would stop before they released them out into the wild. A small movement like that drew a lot of unwanted attention from the most observant of enemies, and he had learned from his grandfather that the more observant someone is, the more dangerous they are. Hearing her clear her throat, he watched her eyes trail from him to the parchment and then back up to his own before her lip found its way between her teeth. Listening to her speak, Isai had a spreading sensation of dread go through him. If she was as well versed in the surrounding courts as she claimed, then there was a high probability someone she knew or could possibly have wronged had found a way to raise their status to a point where they might contradict the entire ploy. Not only that, but if she claims that, then he will have to have proof.
Narrowing his eyes as she looked over her nails before providing her pseudonym, Isai looked over the top of the parchment again while speaking, "Well, Ms. Adelyn, if you are familiar with the kingdoms around us, tell me some of the latest gossip and happenings around the realm. I need small details about little things and information about realm-changing events." Seeing her get into her new stance before speaking, he could not help the tinge of sadness that flooded into his eyes before he dammed them off with a wall of apathy. Knowing his eyes had given him away since she was watching him so closely, he shrugged before speaking, "I saw scenes of tragedy and could not turn a blind eye any longer."
