At Risk

Following behind them, she kept her eyes on Artem. She didn't want to overstep his comfortability with the Orc helping them. Occasionally looking over her shoulder, it wasn't until the Orc gave them fake titles did she become alert. Her heart started to race being subject to a lie. Opening her mouth to protest, she quickly shut it realizing that she would put Artem at risk if she openly spoke.

Once they moved past the gates, away from the guard, she decided to confront her discomfort. "Sir, I can't lie about my station. I can't lie- period. It isn't appropriate and it is wrong. One lie leads to many more, which puts us at risk. I'm a terrible liar. It's a true flaw; I am painfully honest, maybe too honest, but honest nonetheless." Anxiety blanketed her voice and pushed her to try and make eye contact with Gularzob.

She looked at Artem for support on her stance, but the anxiety pressed on. "If we get caught it could mean the death of us. All we are doing is trying to find someone, not risk our lives just for the sake to get into a city! If Artem died then I would have played a role in his death. Do you see what a conundrum this is? Do you?!" Her voice raised to a squeak the further down her rant she went.
