Next step in the plan

Sabina focused on not looking back at Gareth, but it was difficult not to hear some of the noises. She felt really sick just thinking of what he was doing to that poor cow.

She continued walking, trying to get even further away, not really caring about the fact that Gareth might runaway. To be honest she almost didn't care, though she hadn't completely given up on the hope that there might be a way to make Gareth usable for the spell anyway.

The sound of Ceridens voice suddenly mad her stop. "Uhm... Sure. I'll go buy some new clothes for him" She said, trying hard not to sound affected by the revolting scene that were taking place behind them. Quickly she grabbed the book from her bag and handed it to Ceriden together with the chains to Gareth, before looking into his eyes "Just make sure he stayes here.". Not even waiting for him to respond she quickly turned around and headed back towards the city. She just had to get some distance from it all, fast.

When back in the city, she didn't hurry anymore. It felt good to be away from it all, even though she knew she couldn't just run away from it all, that is if she wanted her book back from Ceriden and have a chance of succeeding with the resurrection spell.

She took her time to find some decent clothes for Gareth, though she wasn't entirely sure about his size. To prevent any possible future stains from being too visible she choose a very dark, almost entierly black outfit for him. It wasn't the cheapest, but she thought it would be worth it. After all, she didn't want to have to buy him a new outfit every other day and didn't want to be seen together with one who looked too much like a slave.

Having bought some clothes, water, bread and been back to the inn to get the horse, Sabina started to walk back to the forest where she'd left Ceriden and Gareth. Though she was a bit worried that Ceriden might have taken off with the book she still didn't hurry, since that would only bring her faster back to that horror scene that awaited her.

Meanwhile in the forest Gareth, still covered in blood, had almost just passed out. Though he hadn't been sitting that comfortably with his back leaned against the tree, he was now so deeply asleep that it was going to be very difficult to get him to wake up for at least the next couple of hours or so.
