Escape/temptation
Gareth was completely taken by surprise and didn’t manage to back away before he was grabbed by the arm by the guard. The feeling of her examining gaze was terrifying, as he feared she would see right through him at any time, but slowly the fear transformed into something else: Hunger. Being so close to her, even though just for a short moment, he couldn’t help but notice her scent and hearing the sound of her beating heart. As soon as she let go of him he took a few steps back, looked down and closed his eyes as he struggled to calm himself. He wasn’t even able to listen to what she said as she continued talking.
Sabina looked towards Gareth as the woman made her quick evaluation of his condition. It was only too clear to see that this possibly made him feel even more uncomfortable. In fact, it even appeared as though he became even paler, if that was even possible, making him look as if he was on the brink of collapsing.
Before she was able to do anything to interfere, the woman had turned her attention towards her now. Even though the woman grabbed her wrist she refused to look up, afraid to reveal her identity, but just pulled her hand back when she appeared to be done looking at it. She didn’t like were this appeared to be going at all and needed to come up with something that might enable them to get away this woman. Though she tried she really could only come up with one option, though I was going to be risky. She didn’t like the idea at all, but unable to come up with a better one she decided to try it.
Trying not to seem hesitant she walked over to Gareth and grabbed him by the arm as if to support him. As soon as she did this he could feel him leaning some of his weight against her. Though this would make it look more real it also frightened her, because of him being what he was, but she tried hard to hide it. “I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is the right time for us to be discussing this. Can’t you see that he’s not well?” she said, still not looking up, but nodded slightly towards Gareth who seemed barely conscious at the moment “So if you’ll excuse us, we have to leave now.”. Having said this, with as much authority and confidence as she could muster, she then started to walk, still holding on to Gareth, hoping that the guardswoman would step aside.
Surprised by Sabinas actions and being as exhausted as he was, Gareth wasn’t able to get away from her and just had followed her lead. What she didn’t know was just how much harder she had made it all for him. The warmth of her skin and her sweet flowery scent was simply irresistible. Slowly, still following by her side, he almost subconsciously moved his head closer and closer towards her neck. As he now rested his head upon her shoulder he could hear her heartrate increasing and smell her growing fear, which only enticed him even further.
(OOC – I think that’s a reasonable argument as to why telepathy would be illegal so it’s fine by me ;) )
