William watched, partly terrified and partly amazed. The way the water rolled of its body shocked him; it was the color of its skin that truly amazed him. His eyes followed the beings body from toe to ever silver lock. A shiver went up his spine. What in the name of God, is that? Preparing his muscles to fight, he noticed the already marked up body. It will be weak. The way he described the being he viewed was a conditioned response: It is them or us.

Before he could move to another tree and slowly start making his way up to the beast, he heard a scream, a normal scream. This is what made the job difficult at times. There was a human quality to them all. But could it be described as purely human? Was it a common ancestor that bonded them all together, and magic is what separated them? Where did it start?

Watching the being dive into the water, he broke out in a full sprint towards the river. A long-gated stride allowed for a quick arrival. Eyes darted down in between rocks, desperate to find life. One sword was pointed low towards the water, and the other arched upwards in preparation. Locking view with the creature, his heart beat slowed. "You-your kind-is not welcome here," low tone matched his body that began to crouch on the bank.
