*ACTION* Clearing the way to conquest

Where:- The Hymenopteran Flagship
When:- 48 hours after jumping ship
Jay felt pleased with himself.
He had betrayed his closest friends, his colleagues, his wife and humanity
in the space of an hour.
Thinking back, he reasoned that it was about the most productive thing Lt
Cmdr Jay Chrysler, Chief navigation officer of the JMC Blue Dwarf had ever
done.
Of course, that title would no longer apply, and in fact the Hymenoptera had
presented him with a new title.
Emperor.
Emperor Jay Chrysler II.
He was the supreme ruler of the Hymenoptera empire, and he was going to make
sure NOTHING was going to stand in his way.
"Is the weapon ready?" he asked the hive, telpathically.
"ReAdY aNd PrImEd ExCeLlEnCy" came the response, of hundreds of voices in
synchronisation.
"Take us out of hyperdrive and into high orbit...."
The ship decelleratted suddenly, the star scape stopped whizzing past on the
main viewscreen and was replaced with the view of a planet.
"PlAnEt PlEbE eXaLtEd OnE"
"Excellent..
A beeping was heard across the control room.
"What is it?" Jay dashed across the control room, and glanced at a panel.
"A Starbug....those fools from the Blue Dwarf think that they stand a
snowballs chance in hell of challenging me in a pathetic STARBUG? I'M THE
BEST PILOT THEY EVER HAD AND EVEN I'D BE OUTMATCHED!!" he laughed to
himself.
"Hail them"
He turned and stared menacingly at the faces of Jack FeBuggure and Chris
Harris.
"When are you going to realise?" he said "I DONT want to play with you!"
"Were taking you down Chrysler....you've upset alot of people today..."
The anger in Jacks eye as he said this was enough to send chills down
Satan's spine, and the Blue Dwarf crew knew first hand how hard that was,
Jay, just smirked.
"Really? How exactly do you intend on doing that?"
Jack nodded to Harris, who opened fire with everything the 'bug had to
offer. The 'bug which was vastly upgraded from the standard model due to the
Hymenoptera threat let rip with several volleys of high-yield explosives and
cannon fire.
"Is it my turn yet?" Chrysler replied, the Hymenoptera vessel not even
scratched.
A small panel opened in the centre of the vessel, and a bright blue light
glowed, getting brighter and brighter until a beam of energy burst from it,
blasting the starbug's engine section and sending it hurtling off.
"Consider that a warning...you can go back to your ship but you better tell
Alota, and indeed every space corp's commander, that anyone who tries to
cross me again will be destroyed.
Jack managed to stabilise the vessel, but it was completley dead.
"And...now, you can watch what I came here for"
He gestured to the Hymenoptera op's officer to kill the communication
channel, and open a new one.
"PEOPLE OF PLEBE!" Chrysler said dramatically, his voice, and image been
heard and seen on every radio, television, pa system across the face of
Plebe, and the comm system of Jack and Chris' disabled starbug.
"Your planet has been selected as one of great tactical significance to the
Hymenopteran Empire" he said "You have two options. Either surrender to us,
completley and unconditionally, or I will wipe your planet off the
star-charts...."
Jay waited a few moments for the Plebes to respond.
On the planet. The Plebian leader reached for his communications equipment
to send a message back to the Hymenoptera vessel, advising of their
surrender.
Those few seconds were enough to try Jay's patience.
"Fire the weapon..."
A thin beam of energy fired from the weapons array of the immense
spacecraft. The planet below, cracked like an egg, lava bubbled up through
the cracks and seconds later, the planet tore itself apart, sending chunks
of rock rocketing off into space.
Jay turned the communication back to Jack's craft.
"They didn't listen" he said "And the very same will happen to each and
every earth colony for every other planet that refuse to cooperate. Any
attempts made by the space corp to stop me will result in me destroying
earth colonies.....and unless I'm mistaken, you;ve already tried to stop me
once.....thats one planet you owe me..."
He cut the communication, and hyper-space jumped out of the sector, leaving
Chris and Jack drifting helplessly.
