"Well… it…. It passed straight through us." He said puzzled. "Is that
normal?"
"Not on my ship." Said Alota.
In fact, as the ship did pass straight through them, it passed like a
ghost through corridors 34-49 on E deck, a pie shop, the gentleman's
club on the Promenade and the men's communal showers in the mining
department.
After it passed through, each of these places had a new inhabitant.
One with dark black skin and green eyes.

Where: Drive Room, Back on the Blue Dwarf
When: about... now.
Johnny got back up on his feet as Holly let them know about the new
visitors, bringing their pictures on the screen in the drive room.
"Thanks Holly," Alota said. "Now, I want security teams at..." Alota
gave the commands for security teams to check out the
visitors. "Don't shoot if they aren't hostile, okay? We don't know if
they are enemies yet - they did blast the Hymies, remember. But, if
they try anything funky, then try to capture them. Failing that, kill
them."
One security team was dispatched to each area to check out the new
visitors. Unfortunately, most of these were green recruits, taken
from other departments. Alota made a mental note to return to Earth
soon to get another batch of properly trained soldiers.
"Captain," Johnny said, "this is where I had most of my training -
piloting and using weapons on a ship this size. However, I find it
hard to shoot or dodge crafts like those that are much faster and
more maneouverable, and can phase like that. Could I please ask a
favour?"
"It had better be a good one..." Alota replied.
"Well, I know that this ship has a top engineering department, which
you yourself used to run. Do you think that you could see if they
could work on combatting these phase ships? I'm sure Eric could also
provide valuable help in working on such a system."
"I've already sent a request to the engineering department for such a
request. In what ways can you help, Eric?"
"Through my post as Amoury Officer, I have access to parts of the
Dwarf's computer files that not even you know about." Eric
said. "Well, I have now given you access to all of them, but it's all
such a mess that not many people know how to navigate the system. It
may not seem like such a big deal, but every time we go to a JMC or
Space Corps station, they grab data from our system and we get data
from theirs. This includes stuff like what has happened on Earth and
in the solar system, updates from all major news networks, vision of
the cricket - including the latest 5 nill Ashes whitewash (Go
Aussies). Also, there is information on new technologies, including
weapons, ships and other R&D stuff."
"Is there anything that could help with the phase ships?"
"I'm not sure, it may take me a couple of days to go through the
whole system, but hopefully I can find something in a few hours."
"Come in Captain, I have a report about the intruders." It was Acting
Security Chief Dante.
"What is it?" Alota asked.
