A blue and yellow striped burst of energy shot out from the castle. It hit McJohn and he was suddenly surrounded in a rather funky halo of light. As the light subsided, he looked walked over to Jay, his eyes shooting daggers.
 
"Cherry was right." Mark said in a rather familiar drawl which had the effect of confusing everyone, "You're soft, you should have let 'em kill me, 'cause I'm gonna kill you. I'll catch up with ya. I don't know when, but I'll catch up. Every time you turn around, expect to see me, 'cause one time you'll turn around and I'll be there. I'm gonna kill ya, Matt."
 
"What?" was Jay's astonished rejoinder.
 
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them." McJohn continued.
 
Alota, who had taken Holly's watch off Mark after he passed out, looked down at Holly.
 
"What the smeg is he saying?"
 
"Well, it's something that beam did, inn'it?" Holly replied, showing his great talent for stating the very smegging obvious. "He thinks he's John Wayne."
 
"Oh terrific," mumbled Tara. "Now what do we do with him?"
 
"Only one thing to do," replied Holly. "Put him up front."
