Into the Swing of Things.... Sort Of
Who: Sydra and ummm Sydra Where: Parrots When: Phil's weird crap announcement < snip > You really are repressed aren't you," he replied with what could be described as pity. "I guess it's really not your fault, Dad was quite good at teaching you to shut yourself off.... No matter though, you'll learn." Sydra picked up her cigs again and lit one, as her future self then followed suit. As they lit their respective fags, future Syd said, "Well I can see you're now disintersted with the idea of a game, what do you say we go get a lager?" Sydra couldn't see what harm it would do, besides she may have a better time accepting this odd situation with a few beers. "I suppose so," she said. And with that they were off to Parrots. < end snip > Sydra sat pulling on her lager as she scrutinized the man who sat next to her. She really still wasn't quite sure what to make of this. There seemed to be odd occurances going on all about the ship. Sighing, Syd looked on as Kara and Dean appeared to be crawling around under a table looking for something. "Discgraceful," she muttered to herself. Future Syd then replied, "They're only having fun.... you should try it sometime." Sydra was about to protest to the comment when the announcement was heard. < snip > "All hands attention...There is going to be a short period of MAJOR temporal and spaital instablity..please do not be alarmed...There may be some very weird crap about to happen. Brace yourselfs..." < end snip > Sydra snickered into her lager as she glanced over to where her future self sat. What could possibly be about to happen that could be any weirder than what had already been experienced. It wasn't long before her question was answered. With the appearance of preposterous headwear, not to mention the overall odd behaviour of Kara, Dean, Vanessa and Jasmine, Sydra knew exactly what was meant by weird. The sound of chuckling caused Sydra to glance over to where the sound was coming from. She saw her future self chuckling up a storm as he looked on at the antics. Sneering at him, Sydra gave him a look that could have quite possibly killed anyone else, but after all this was supposedly her, and there was no intimidating look that she could give that he hadn't already given. Standing up from her seat, Sydra stormed out of Parrots with herself, or himself, itself.... whatever, not far behind. Hoping to fond things a bit more normal upon her exit, Sydra was pleased to see that things seemed to be much better out here. On the way back to her quarters, everything appeared to be quite normal. As the two Syds neared quarters, it was apparent that a loud ruckus was coming from the other side of the door. A bit apprehensive about actually opening the door, Sydra watched on as her future self calmly opened the door. "Well of course he's calm! He's already done this once, " Syd thought to herself as she followed in. What met her eyes, couldn't even be described as weird. As she looked on in disbelief, her future self said with a chuckle, "So how about that game now?" Sydra didn't hear the question, as she was trying to absorb exactly what was going on. Her quarters seemed to be transformed into a quite large battlefield that oddly resembled her RISK board. In the middle of the feild there seemed to be two miniature groups of combatants, one side red and the other blue, having a disorgainized free for all. As Future Syd walked onto the field, Sydra followed. As they appraoched the middle of the battleground, both armies ceased thier melee and fell into line. Future Syd approached the blue side as Sydra stopped him. "I thought we agreed that I was blue," she said without thinking. "As you wish," replied Future Syd. Sydra was quite happy to see that she already held posession of Australia, the rest of the world would be hers for the taking. "Have you got the dice?" she asked future Syd. "Dice?" he replied. "We'll be using no dice." Sydra scratched her head, "What do you mean no dice?" Future Syd responded, "Well, this is war! How many wars do you recall that had dice to back up their manuevars?" Pondering the thought for a moment, Sydra agreed wholeheartedly, "I suppose that's a good point," she stated. And so the war commenced....
