Steev....and Steev!
JMC Blue Dwarf-2
Engineering bay

Steev bounded happily into the engineering bay, wondering just what would be
different about himself in this dimension. The door *zuzzunged* open to
reveal....
No-one in particular.
"Where the hell am I?" thought Steev. "I need to compare notes on bleepy
digitydoodahs!" He grabbed a passing enginner, and recoiled when he
discovered he'd grabbed a Miss Engineer.
"Oh sorry, Miss...Lloyd???"
The engineer looked up, pushing the red hair out of her face. It was Lloyd
all right, though quite why she was sitting around in enginnering was a
complete mystery.
"Hi gov, where's the fire? Oh wait, you're Steve Mackenzie from the other
Dwarf, yeah?"
Steev paused, before correcting her. "No, you're saying it wrongly, my
name's Steev."
"Err, are you OK there gov, the bloke I'm thinking of is called Steve, not
Steev."
Then it clicked. This was what was different. The typist was awake that
day...his name was spelled correctly! That change must have done untold
good to his personality and his whole life! "Take me to my double!" he
chirped.
"Right you are gov!"

"Excuse me, but aren't we going the wrong way?" Steev asked.
"Nope, you asked me to show you your double, I'm showin' you!"
The door *zuzzunged* open to reveal...Primary pilot of the JMC Blue
Dwarf....Owen Numan. Steev stood and stared at the former barman, until
Lloyd tugged his sleeve.
"No, gov, he's over there!"
Steev turned on the spot, retaining his expression, straight into the form
of Security Officer Steve Mackenzie.
"How goes mate? You must be Steve-2!" he thrust out his hand toward the
engineer.
Steev stared. And stared. Then gibbered uncontrollably and barreled toward
the nearest cupboard.
