When:- Just after the spider ships attacked.
 
"Jay!," Niples souted over the confusion "Get us back in the air!"
Jay realised this was a stupid comment, in his mind he thought. "OH so THATS what you want me to do, and heres me thinking i should go staraight down!"
not wanting a court martial for insubordiantion he said somethnig more along the lines of
"Not gonna be easy!, This is ship the size of a city, i can get you ten maybe twenty feet, but it wont last"
"Concentrate on getting out of the dive!" Harris voice came as he ran after Efof grabing him and sitting in the relief pilot seat.
Jay was gritting his teeth, sweat dripping from his brow as he pulled on the control stick, Blue Dwarf was built in space, it never went within around 300 miles of a planets atmosphere. NOONE in history had ever done anything this crazy..this downright insane..he was gonna be the first pilot to...probably kill over a thousand people in one sitting.
"Kayns never gonna let me forget this!!!!!"
Now Efof was pulling up on his stick too, the braking thrusters were nearly out of fuel and Ashley was muttering about going swimming.
"Were levelling out!" Jay shouted to noone in particular "but were still falling and fast..Impact in 5..4..3.."
The ship hit the water and skimmed across the surface of the ocean. and slowly ground to a halt.
"Are we dead?" Efof asked. Jay slapped him, Efof retaliated by slapping him with bith left hands sending Chrysler reeling.
"You think this will end up being called the Chrysler manouvere?" the exhausted pilot asked as he clambered to his feet.
"Were not out of the water yet" (sorry) Alotas voice came across the room "Were sinking"
"engines are offline" Jay said as he tried to fire the re heat, probably water logged. Were dead in the water"
 
 
About half an hour later Jay was in the meeting room, not a lot of point being at helm. He was gutted. He'd never even crashed a starbug...and now THIS!!! 
After a breif argument with Stewie Mckenzie, Jay spoke.
"Its gonna take hours to fire up the engines again, and the ships thrusters are not strong enough to lift into orbit, especially as by that time more than 3 quarters of the ship will be underwater. Its a long shot, but with the ships engines on full power, we MAY be able to get at least out of the water if we use whatever free shuttles we have to try and tow the ship."
