Lloyd fired her last grenade into the bug hoard, aiming above it so that the grenade would land in the middle of the hoard and do more damage. The explosion ripped apart two of the blue midget sized insects and sent flying another dozen but they still kept on coming.
The remains of dead bugs lay around the group. Death Wish was choking a bug to death trying to crawl down the bugs' throat, only to be thrown-up in the bugs' last moments of life.
Lloyd then hung her grenade launcher over her shoulder and pulled out a handgun and a couple of hand grenades for that was all she left.
Harris checked his last clip of explosive bullets, as normal bullets wouldn't be able to break the hind of the monstrous bugs. Then began to fire at the head of a bug that charge towards him with claws held high ready to strike.
When the bug dropped to the floor dead with its' head blown to bits, the Major looked around at the group, those that were armed were fighting the bugs and those that weren't were doing their best to avoid being bug bait.
Behind the group a mound of earth was beginning to build up and then with a shriek a bug burst free of the earth.
The bug charged forward avoiding the shots that were fired at it. Lloyd aimed carefully and lobbed a grenade into the giant insect's, for better words for it, mouth. But before the grenade went off inside the bug, it swung its' scythe like claw at the private and if Niples hadn't of thrown himself at Lloyd knocking her to the floor and out of the path of the claw she would have been cut in two.
The bug's torso exploded and the its' ruined body dropped to the floor.
Lloyd looked up at the face of Niples who was now lying on top of her and he looked quite unsure to what he had just done.
"ErrÂ…" Niples said.
Suddenly next thing Niples knew Lloyd had swung him over so that she was on top and only then did he notice the claw slicing into the ground where he and Lloyd were just lying. The bug shrieked and then was silenced as one of the flying bugs Lloyd termed as 'Scout' was shot out of the air and landed on top the bug, crushing it.
