What is time to a bug?
It had been woken by the fresh scents in the air. One was familiar while there were two others that were unfamiliar. A surge of chemicals into the bloodstream sent a surge of energy through its' bloody caused its' dormant body to snap into life and it uncurled itself from its' place of rest.
Its' mandibles flickered as it tasted the air and three pairs of eyes scanned the surrounding area, searching for prey. Its' cold logical alien mind considered its' options, first, stalk the prey to determine how much of a danger the prey could be, second, wait for the prey to come to it and take it totally unaware.
It finally found the source of the scents, not far from its' present location and it began to rub together its' clawed uppermost limps.
Its' mind came up with one logical choice. It was time to hunt.
