Harris 'Scientist from another series'
Blue Dwarf
Lower levels
"Fingers!" Harris bellowed. The off-duty Major's voice echoed
around the empty corridors of some of the least used levels aboard
the Blue Dwarf.
Normally crew would stay away from these levels for one very good
reason, they were controlled by the lowlife scum that had somehow
managed to sneak aboard the ship without being noticed. The scum now
ruled this area of the ship and they were so bad that they even
scared the hell out of the likes of Tom, Dick and Harry. But Harris
was two thirds insane and there was only one thing that scared him.
Since handing over Psycho Bob to that hologram Phil, Harris had been
searching for that thief Fingers. He had already tried most of the
other places that Fingers used to hang around, normally a very
business area with lots of people as he was also a pickpocket as well
as a thief, both of which he was very good. But when it came to
getting away he useless at and kept getting caught.
From what Phil told him Harris was on the understanding that his evil
counterpart was using his computer, Saddam, as a lightbee. What
Harris needed was to have Fingers steal Saddam so that Phil could
remove his evil counterpart's programming from Saddam. This was his
backup plan, Harris didn't trust Psycho Bob to help Phil defect his
evil counterpart plus he had heard White Wolf had taken the
Armourzila. Both of which could turn out messy since both Psycho Bob
and the Armourzila were both capable of doing some major damage if
they got out of control.
Harris passed a cupboard door and then turned back to it and began to
wonder why there was light beaming out from the gaps between the door
and the wall. The light was too strong to be a simple light bulb and
frankly most light bulbs on these levels were either stolen if they
could be removed or had been broken if not removable.
Harris removed his firearm and then pulled open the door and
commented. "What the hell!"
Harris stepped into what should be a normal cupboard and into a huge
area, it looked similar to the gardens aboard the ship but with areas
of paved flooring. Harris moved up to and look out over a balcony.
Below was a large swimming pool and outwards was a clear dome. Out
beyond the dome were four small planets in view.
"Who are you!?" Came an annoyed female voice.
Harris turned around to see no one.
"Down here!"
Harris looked down to see this strange woman standing before him.
She was even shorter then Lloyd. She had these large green eyes and
her hair was red, actually red and boy was there a lot of it and
spiky.
"Who are you?" Harris enquired.
"I am Washu, the greatest scientist in the universe." The red headed
woman almost shouted as she leapt up into the air. When she landed a
pair of dolls appeared on her shoulder, one labelled 'A' and the
second labelled 'B'.
"Yea, you're the greatest!" The 'A' doll said.
"Yea, the greatest!" The 'B' doll said.
Then the dolls disappeared.
"Yea, right." Harris muttered and then he enquired. "I'm looking
for someone. His name is Fingers and very sneaky looking. Have you
seen him?"
A glass jar appeared in Washu's hand and inside of it was a strange
green creature that would be best described as impy.
"He broke into my lab." Washu said.
That was Fingers, Harris throught to himself, it was an imp but it
did appear to be very sneaky looking. Harris commented. "You turned
him into that?!"
"Yes." Washu answered.
"Can you turn him back to normal, I need him for a job." Harris said.
"Ok." Washu commented. "Just make sure he stays out of my lab!"
Washu put the jar on the ground and then began to type at a keyboard
in thin air, even through there was nothing there but air Harris
could see a shadow of a screen and keyboard. A moment later there
was a puff of smoke and the imp was gone and the sneaky looking thief
Fingers was standing in its' place.
Fingers looked around for a moment and then fell to his knees and
began to grovel at Washu's feet. "Oh, thank you for turning me back
to normal, thank you. I never come back again!"
Harris grabbed Fingers by the collar and pulled the thief to his feet.
"I'll be on my way." Harris told the short scientist and with that
he left the way he came in dragging the thief behind him, through the
cupboard door.
As the cupboard door closed Harris released his hold on the thief and
told him. "I have a job for you!"
