OOC - how we'll do this robot wars thing
I think I know how we'll do this. Each team, send me a description of
your robot (in private email if you want to keep some features secret
until the competition like one team has been doing) and who all's in the
team, and then I'll decide which robot is more powerful and tell the team
members in private email, then they can write a joint post or a couple of
individual posts or however they want to go about it. (We could have
polls on the yahoogroups site like the grudgematch sites do, but that
would probably take too long, what with the multiple rounds and stuff.)
Don't forget to include ALL the features of your robots as this is what
I'll be judging them on! If you have an otherwise weak robot and forget
to mention your secret kamikaze bomb then I just might award victory to
your opponent instead of calling it a double loss! >:)
Also, obviously, I'll need to know who's fighting who in each first round
match, and if we're doing this Robot Wars style, then I'll need some info
on what exactly each challenge is, because I'm not all that familiiar
with the show. If one course requires a robot to survive 50 swinging
hammers an inch apart, then it doesn't matter how fast you are, you need
armor to make it through! But an open combat arena just might give the
edge to a speedy bot that can dodge and jump enemy attacks while
simultaneously launching its own counter strikes...

Red: "Welcome to the antique roadkill portion of the show we call --"
Mike: "Yeah yeah can you go ahead and appraise this, I've got to meet
with my parole officer in 15 minutes!"
Red: "Okay, let me take a look at this... Mike, that's JUNK."
Dalton: "Not to mention, it's MY junk!"
