Jay barely had time to consider how Tara had gone from the friendly, carefree nurse he’d know all those years ago to the ruthless killer he’d just witnessed – one of the best friends he’d ever had, now someone he didn’t know at all, when the battlemech joined the fight.
The thing was huge. And crashed into the trees as if from nowhere.
“MOVE IT!” he yelled to everyone in earshot.
Jaxx/ Franky stood his ground for a moment, swinging his chains.
“That means you too Jaxx!” Jay shouted again. “Now!”
Jaxx glanced at Jay and back at the mech, and decided that Jay was probably talking sense and made off in the direction the others had ran.
“Try to scatter!” Jay yelled after them. “Give it more targets to worry about that one big, easily massacred group!”
He wasn’t sure anyone had heard him, but regardless, scatter they did though this didn’t seem entirely voluntary from what he saw as he ran.

After the warning from Jay, Franky/Jaxx ran off to get out of the line of fire. Jaxx was about to run towards Jay when Franky thought, “Oceans to Murgatroyd, even. What are you doing dear boy? Your brave Captain is trying to draw them away for the rest of us even.” Jaxx replied, “But I should……” Franky thought, “You should listen to your Captain my dear cute apprentice. At this point you will only get in his way since he seems to have a plan even.” Jaxx replied, “But……” Franky thought, “But nothing even, he will never learn to trust you if you can’t follow a simple order even. So like the dear man said, exit stage left even.” Jaxx gritted his teeth and muttered, “K bro.” Franky thought, “Good boy. Now let’s try to find the others even. “Jaxx quickly ran off away from the giant mech in hopes to find Evelina and the others. After a good while of searching among the hail of damage in the forest Franky took over Jaxx’s body again in order to avoid taking damage from the flying debris around him. Jaxx thought, “Hey Master Franky dude, like can you sense Eve babe and the others?” Franky thought, “I am sorry sweet Jaxx but all that noise does make it a tad difficult to focus even.” Jaxx sighed as he thought, “I like hope Eve babe is ok and stuff. Like she was kinda miffed at me an all for dying and stuff.” Franky smirked as he replied, “And that my dear sweet apprentice is why I am single even.” Jaxx pondered for a second and thought, “But like aren’t you the last Calamar and stuff?” Franky grinned again and replied, “Well that to even, but none the less I do believe I can use Science to remedy my situation even.” Jaxx was confused by Franky’s comment but before he could speak Franky thought, “Oh my even, I believe I found one of your friends.” Jaxx thought, “Is it Eve babe?” Franky smirked as he replied, “Sorry sweety but no. It is one of the other females even.” Jaxx pondered for a second and thought, “Is it Dr. Black?” Franky grinned and thought, “Try again sweety. Think genius tech woman even.” Jaxx thought for a moment before he frowned and thought, “It’s Ms. Jones huh?” Franky gave a feminine head jiggle as he chuckled quietly. Jaxx thought, “Maybe we could just………” Frank dropped his jaw and thought, “Oh my you aren’t going to suggest we leave her here are you?” Jaxx held his tongue and thought, “Sorry Master Franky. Ms. Jones and I are like not close and stuff. It will totally be weird being alone with her.” Franky grinned as he thought, “Good even, consider this a test of your diplomatic skills my sweet apprentice.” Jaxx thought, “But??.........” Franky began to apply pressure to Jaxx’s brain causing Jaxx to cringe in pain for a moment as Franky thought, “You are not thinking of testing my patience are you Jaxx?” After Franky released Jaxx from the mental squeeze, Jaxx nervously thought, “I’m totally sorry Master I didn’t mean it like that. I just like don’t think I am like ready for that and stuff.” Franky thought, “My dear boy I am not suggesting you become friends overnight even. However, you will never reach any destination without a first step even.” Jaxx thought about what Franky said and nodded as he thought, “I like get it Master. I’ll like work on making it right and stuff with Ms. Jones.” Franky smiled as he thought, “You’re so cute when you make that face even. For now I’ll take a back seat while you two work together even.”

Cass:
I heard the others around me, and occasionally saw them, but I don't know what happened because after a while, there was nothing.
The sounds of a fire fight echoed briefly through the forest at one point after that, but I couldn't begin tell you which direction it came from.
More worryingly, there seems to have been some sort of ECM system deployed in the area, so I can't get a fix on anyone else with my damn terminal - I keep trying, but it seems to be some sort of advanced polymorhphic field and I haven't been able to figure the mutation sequence out yet.
I've tried shouting, but there was no response and after a while, given the circumstances, it didn't seem too prudent to try and attract too much attention to myself.
That was hours ago.
So here I am - Hungry and alone, scared and tired.
I feel so fucking stupid.
Wait, what was that? - There was a noise…

Jaxx walked out from behind the foliage to see Cass from behind point her weapon at the brush before her. Jaxx nervously scratched his head as he muttered, “Yo Ms. Jones. You wouldn't like know the rest of Jay dude’s plan would you?”
