Evelina had been giving Jamie a hand to keep her mind busy or she feared she might burst into tears again. She couldn’t bear to watch Jaxx feel sorry for himself anymore. To make things worse she feared being in a skutter body to long would eventually numb his feelings all together. Evelina watched as Jamie woke the drunken Jay up. It was hard to watch Jay in this state of mind as well. Evelina had always feared she would loose Jaxx in a similar way, especially when she thought he had died more than once. It’s a pain she kept to herself because she feared the others wouldn’t care. However watching Jay in the same state of mind reminded her of her past experience. She wanted to say something to Jay but she was unable to speak her words. Because deep down inside Evelina knew it wasn’t fair that Jaxx came back all those times and Katrina didn’t. The pain of loosing someone precious was the same for humans or GELFs and Evelina knew that pain all to well. As Jay was trying to figure out where he was, Jamie was helping him get out of the cubbyhole he crawled into.

Evelina watched as Jamie freed Jay from his cubbyhole. Memories of her past adventures with the crew flooded Evelina's mind. She remembered when she first joined the crew on board the Blue Dwarf before the radiation leak. She saw a lot of good and bad times while she served on the dwarf. For the first few years Evelina kept to herself since she was afraid to be sent back to the Modeling agency. As time grew on she did make a few friends on board and decided to try to be a regular crew member. Unfortunately things did not go so well after that for her. Evelina was picked on by many females who were jealous of her GELF beauty and tormented regularly out of jealousy. Evelina was considering a transfer till she got the attention of many men from the crew. Unfortunately the men only wanted a one night stand with her. Feeling used and unappreciated Evelina eventually found herself with the urge to request a transfer.

As Evelina stood outside the Captain's doors she met some tattooed women who were in line to be disciplined by the Captain for their rebellious behavior. It was then that Evelina met her first real friends on board the ship. These girls were rowdy, tattooed, pierced all over, foul mouth and not afraid to have fun, even if it meant getting in trouble. For the rest of her time on the ship Evelina enjoyed being part of the ship crew and the "Rowdy Girls". They spent many nights drinking and playing pranks on the snobby females and wannabe male players. Those were good times and Evelina missed them very much. She never thought she would be the last one left but then she woke up from stasis and met the surviving crew and especially her beloved Jaxx. She already lost her Rowdy Girls and she didn't want to loose Jaxx. Evelina decided for now she needed to get the crew to see the Jaxx she feel in love with and not the monster they seem to see when they look at him.

As Jay staggers to his feet he clumsily stood up and looked at Jamie. Jamie asked, “Are you ok Jay?” Jay held up his hand as if to shush Jamie for being too loud as he regained his balance. Jamie was now concerned for Jay as he was not looking to well. Suddenly Jay muttered, “Max?” Then quickly ran off in a drunken stupor. Jamie looked at Evelina and said, “I hope he gets better soon.” Evelina replied, “I wish I could talk to him but now is a bad time.” Jamie looked at Evelina and her sad look. He could tell she had been crying earlier and avoided asking for help. Jamie turned away and said, “Looks like its going to a rough few days, well we have a lot of repairs ahead of us if you don’t mind helping.” Evelina replied, “I don’t mind. I need to stay busy right now.” Jamie pulled out his hand held computer and scanned through it as he replied, “Alright then lets see what’s next on the list.”
