Dinner with the Devil part 2

Everyone was uneasy, and Jaxx was being given a wide berth by everyone except Evelina. His recent behaviour too close for comfort for some of the Dwarfers that had seen psycho shark Jaxx. Whatever his motivations were, it didn't go any way to easing the minds for the Dwarfers as he was obviously prepared to kill them all for whatever reasons he had. Jade looked across at Cass, who was doing a good impression of pretending to be stupid again, playing with her fork in a way that suggested she'd never seen one before. She wondered if it was a good idea to return Jaxx to his body, given his recent actions. At least in a scutter body they could control him easier.
"Are you ok." Jade whispered to Alex.
"Fine." He grimaced and grabbed his second glass of wine.
"You don't look...." She began, but he game her one of his grumpy 'I'm not an alcoholic' looks and she knew that there was no point pressing the issue. "We'll be out of here soon. Just hold it together till then." She shot him a reassuring smile.

After a while Evelina noticed the other crew members were avoiding Jaxx as they sat away from him. By the looks of it everyone was not doing to well. Jacky had a huge bandage on his hand, Alex was drinking a lot, Cass was trying to figure out what a fork was and Dr. Black was trying to stay on good terms with Alex. Evelina whispered to Jaxx, “Hey Jaxx is it me or are the others avoiding you?” Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “Totally Eve babe. I guess Goggles totally ratted me out after we left and stuff.” Evelina whispered, “What did you do to him Jaxx?” Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “I totally chased him off the battle field while trying to thrash him most wickedly.” Evelina looked at Jaxx in shock as she whispered, “Why Jaxx? I know you’re not close but to kill your own crew mate is not right.” Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “Chill Eve babe, I was totally faking it to get him away from those wicked killer mechs. Ya see Goggles is a mondo wuss and can run wickedly fast when scared. So I was like hoping to chase Goggles away from the fight and then ditch him, but that Lindy dude totally ended the fight.” Evelina thought about what Jaxx said as she looked at the others in the room. It was then she realized they did not care for Jaxx in the least. Evelina then looked at Jaxx as a tear ran down her cheek. Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “What’s with the sad face Eve babe?” Evelina whispered, “Its not fair Jaxx. You have given up so much for all of us and yet they still see you as a monster. I need to tell them the truth.”

As Evelina tried to get up Jaxx gently grabbed her arm with his claw head and pulled her back to her seat. Evelina looked at Jaxx in shock as she whispered, “Why Jaxx?” Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “You can’t Eve babe Lindy dude will hear you too. If he knew what I did he might get all evil again.” Evelina looked at Jaxx and then at the crew before looking back at Jaxx. Evelina then whispered, “So you’re just going to let them hate you over a lie? That’s not fair Jaxx.” Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “Life ain’t fair Eve babe. We just like gotta roll with it. As long as I got you I can totally live with being unpopular.” Evelina fought her tears as she hugged Jaxx with all her strength. Some of the crew members were a bit wierded out by her level of affection. Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “I dig you too Eve babe but aren’t you like hungry?” Evelina whispered, “I’m ok Jaxx I ate some rations had back at the mining base. Besides Dr. Black is avoiding the food too.” Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “Just be brave Eve babe. First chance I get I’ll totally thrash that monster.”

Evelina tried to smile as her tears ran down her face. After taking a deep breath Evelina whispered, “I promise as soon as we get home and you get your body back, I will so make this up to you with a proper honeymoon.” Jaxx replied in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “So does that mean another movie night?” Evelina giggled as she whispered, “No….I was thinking something like sex.” Jaxx remained silent for a while as he thought about Evelina’s words, before whispering in his soft asthmatic Vader voice, “What’s sex?” Evelina giggled as she whispered, “I don’t want to ruin the surprise but it will rock your world. Think of it as a right of passage to manhood and inspiration to get us back home safely.” As Evelina hugged Jaxx he contemplated her passionate words. Even though he was clueless in the world of intimacy he was determined to experience this thing called sex with Evelina and not even the reaper himself was going to stop him from becoming a man. He may not be smart like Miss Jones but the one thing he was good at was destruction. Jaxx thought to himself, “Lindy dude is totally going down and then I will be totally one step closer to having sex with Eve babe and becoming a MAN! And on that day, life will be most excellent!”
