Seperate Missions

“Jaxx” he said, shaking his head to dispel the disturbing image that he feared would be forever burned into his retinas. “I’m all for you being on the stealth team, but, Evelina’s coming on the assault team with me.”
“Is that because you wanna fuck her too?” Katrina sniped from across the room, arms folded.
“NO!” Jay snapped back. “I just think it would be good for Jaxx and Eve to work independently for a change. Branch out. Build experience independently. Take advantage of your individuality and learn not to rely on each other so heavily.”
“But..” Jaxx started
“No buts. Eve you’re on my team – equally, Kat’s going stealth.”
“So…who else it with me?”

While the other crew-members were talking to Jay, Skutter Jaxx looked at Eve and gently nuzzled her with his claw as she knelt down and held him closely. Then Jaxx pulled his claw head up and looked at Evelina as he said, “Its cool Eve babe. Its not like this is the only time this is gonna happen.” Evelina sighed as she said, “I know Jaxx but we have been through a lot in a short time, with you escaping death again, getting trapped in a skutter body, getting separated in a time jump and then we just got married during a wild drunken night. You will have to forgive me if I am having trouble coping with this. It’s a lot easier when you are by my side. For a long time everyone only saw me as an attractive GELF to market their fashion world and abuse. Even after I escaped and joined the JMC I was only a “Hot piece of ass” in the eyes of the others and no one really took me seriously, but that all changed when I met you. You have been nothing but good to me this entire time. You have done the impossible countless times just to keep your promise to me. It’s not my faith in you I am struggling with Jaxx, it’s my lack of faith in myself.” Jaxx cocked his head to the side as he said in his monotone voice, “No need to fret most bodaciously hot wife of mine. You are most awesome in more ways than you totally think Eve babe. Now I totally know you are not cool with this most heinous plan of Jay dude and Miss Jones, but we totally we need to unify our skills so we can prevail most righteously and get back home. So let me see that most awesome smile of yours and lets totally focus on this mission so we can get home and you can enlighten me on the duties as your husband.” Evelina smiled as she replied, “Ok Jaxx I will and thanks for listening.”

As Evelina was listening to Jay’s ideas and the others on his team, Jaxx left the room to talk to Cassandra Jones. Cass was enjoying a smoke in the hallway as Jaxx made his way to her. Cass looked at Jaxx as he approached and said, “You want something?” Skutter Jaxx replied, “Jay split me and Eve babe up so I am totally on the stealth team with ya.” Cass sighed as she said, “Fine just do as I say and we should be fine.” Skutter Jaxx replied, “Ummm.. like just in case and all maybe you should know about my most awesome upgrades.” Cass looked curiously as she said, “Upgrades?” Skutter Jaxx then replied, “Yeah I got my holowhips, some thicker armor, stronger machine muscles and some cool senses that help me see all sorts of things. Cass looked at Skutter Jaxx closely as she examined the work. Then she replied, “Looks like all the techs put some effort into you, even Alex.” Skutter Jaxx replied, “Yeah Jamie dude, Artemis and Alex dude totally repaired my body and made me stronger, especially Alex dude.” Cass sighed as Jaxx showed Alex some praise. Skutter Jaxx saw this and replied, “You know Miss Jones, I totally never got a chance to say I am most sorry for my past and all. According to Holly dude my inner monster was way out of hand. But like after my mind was wiped clean I totally got a chance to choose my own path and stuff. Then because of my most fortunate second chance I was able to lock away the wicked monster inside me.”

Cass looked at Skutter Jaxx as she replied, “Is there a point to this Jaxx?” Skutter Jaxx replied, “Yes Mrs. Jones totally I do. Ya see I was made in a lab to be a most heinous and wicked monster to serve and destroy, but like humans only become wicked monsters when they experience a most harsh life. Alex dude has a monster inside him to; only thing is he is like not totally for sure if the man inside is like worth saving. Alex dude is most troubled and confused. So if you can find a way to help him that would be cool. I’ll be in the room when you’re ready and all.” Skutter Jaxx left Cass to her smoke as he reentered the room.

Later, Jay stood over a map of Las Vegas, with Evelina and the rest of the ‘assault’ team surrounding it, glancing down at it.
“Cass has plotted the route the security vans take. They begin here, at the depot, and move in a fixed route, along here….” He was marking the map with a red pen, drawing the route “Stopping at the rear entrances of the Luxor, Caesars, and New York New York before taking the main road to the Emperors…we can’t take the van before it’s done it’s drops at the other three Casinos or we’ll raise suspicions. So we have to take it somewhere between New York, New York and The Emperors Palace.”
“Not easy..” someone said “They’re close by…and the route between them isn’t exactly secluded.”
