Remember Who You Are: Part 2

Unfortunately for Al, he suddenly recalled everything in a big rush, and the force of it caused him to transform back into his adult self.
“Oh noooOO!” He cried, his voice getting deeper as he grew taller. He wasn’t ready to be an adult again and, more than this, he didn’t want anyone to realise he was the stupid man in the video.

To add insult to injury, he’d transformed back into his jester’s outfit AND retained the silly cat cloak, which was now adult sized.
He crossed one arm over his stomach and, leaning from an elbow, held the hand of the other to his face in shame.

Back in the real world, The Missus cursed in binary and realised she’d put on “The Best of Holly’s Private Hoots Volume 5” instead of the footage she’d intended.

She grabbed the correct video and inserted it…

As the video was loading, Artemis tried to comprehend what had happened. "What the fuck was that?" He blurted. "A mockery of our great empire!" Treaguard chimed in, still disguised as an imperial officer. "Enough of this! All units prepare your plasma launchers!" The imperial troopers prepared their undersling grenade launchers and took aim. The combined heat of so many charges would kill everyone ahead of the imperial line, and if the Dwarfers died in the game, they died in real life. Treaguard was trembling with excitement. That was when the video started rolling....

“GREETINGS HUMAN, MECHANOID, AND GELF AUDIENCE, THIS IS REDUNDANT EVENING BROADCAST OF GOOD MORNING AMERICA. I AM HOST KILLMORE AND THIS IS MEATBAG HOST TED MACNAMARA! WE REPORT FROM BLUE DWARF MEMORIAL SERVICE!” “That’s right Killmore! We’re here tonight to honor the crew of the JMC mining ship that vanished over ten years ago. We’ve been wandering the crowd and have interviewed the families of the crew, and we’ve got more to come!” “TED’S EXCITEMENT DURING SENTIMENTAL SERVICE WORRIES KILLMORE” “Hah! You are a delight! Anyway, we’ve just caught up with the galactically renowned super-scientist Dr. Artemis K. Pritchard V, father of renowned neurotic super scientist and Blue Dwarf crewman Dr. Artemis K. Pritchard VI!” Artemis’ father stood with his brothers and sisters, along with his mother (the supercomputer), who was present through a robotic monitor. The resemblance between Artemis and his father was almost disturbing. “Dr. Pritchard, do you have anything to say?” The old man was handed a microphone, he cleared his throat.

"Wait, what?" treaguard blurted. Artemis was fixated on the screen, he could recognize the old man. It was somebody from his past...but not this past, a different one. "Father?" he said.

“Son, I know you’re out there somewhere. Listen, I know I’ve been hard on you and that I’m the source of most of your mental problems, but I never hated you. I was jealous that you became so smart in such a short time, and I was ashamed that you were born with mental issues, and that it would hurt my image. What kind of father does that? I shouldn’t have treated you so poorly, I’m the reason why you were driven to your current state, I’m the reason that you failed in the Guild of Science and subsequently joined that damned Space Corps! As soon as I heard your ship was missing and that the Space Corps had given up the search I was devastated” the old man began to tear up. “Every day for the past ten years I’ve wondered how it all went wrong and how if I was a better father that you would have never ended up on a doomed ship! I miss you, we all do. I know that you’re out there somewhere and that you’re okay, you’ve survived so much worse!” He wiped the tears from his eyes and tried to compose himself. “Artemis, I love you. I never stopped believing in you. Please, come home safely!”

Artemis stood motionless. "Father....but I....you never...gah!" Artemis grabbed his head. "Damnit! What.....what's.....Father? You were jealous of me?! But...." Artemis' avatar flashed and flickered, through the flickering his old self could be seen. "You still love me?" Artemis said, choked back by pain. "Orders sir?" a soldier asked. Artemis pushed his rifle down. "Stand down!"

The camera panned back to Ted and Killmore, both teary eyed. “That was….” Ted wiped his eyes. “Dr. Artemis K. Pritchard V speaking to his son, Dr. Artemis K. Pritchard VI. I….” Artemis’ youngest brother, and his lifelong rival Percy, grabbed the microphone from Ted. “I…I miss Artie too!” He said, trying to turn the attention to himself. “I cry every day for him, I cry so much that I often get dehydrated. But even in my sadness I wrote a song for him”

Percy proceeded to sing a terrible song about feelings, driving Artemis mad. "PERCY YOU SELF CENTERED COCKSUCKER THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU!" Artemis' nose started bleeding both in the simulation and in real life, he collapsed to the ground and howled in pain. "Enough of this!" Treaguard grabbed a grenade launcher form a nearby soldier and took aim. A series of gunshots rang out, treaguard flailed back as flaming bullets connected with his chest. He fell to the ground, dead. Artemis was aiming his revolver at him, still squeezing the trigger trying to get the empty gun to fire more rounds. "Don't you dare hurt my crewmates" As the soldiers hoisted Artemis up, they noticed a change in his appearence. He was aged more, his hair was grayer, and his robotic limbs were back. Artie was back! "Father doesn't hate me! He was jealous, hah! Oh my science all these years and it turns out he still loves me! I bet I'm still the favorite child!" He said in his old, jolly tone. The soldiers and the Dwarfers stared at him, curious as to what just happened. The video continued as more families were interviewed....

Who else has their family interviewed by Ted and Killmore? Does it snap them back to their old self?
