The Red Button Again

A frowning Jamie waved a hand between the Roo and the agitated Alex. “Shouldn’t we be getting out of here? What’s he going on about?”
“I think he’s having… some kind of CSR.” At the confused look from Evelina she elaborated. “Combat Stress Reaction.”
“Uhm, doc…” Jaxx began.
“Hang on…” Jade decided she needed to continue her concise questioning while Alex was still talking. She turned back to him. “Save him?” She pressed. “From the Roo?”
“From me.”
She took him to one side.
“You? Why?”
“Because I killed him, Jade,” he looked at her, finally in the present again. His features were twisted in misery, and he slumped to his knees.
“... I killed my little brother.”
-Jaxx didn’t want to be rude but it was getting kind of urgent. “Doc…” he reminded “The Roo!”

A few Roo emerged from the room Alex was looking to. Two were packing assault rifles and one was packing the he heavy backpack with shoulder cannon. They were powering up their weapons as they glared at the crew. Alex’s ramblings kept the attention of Jade and Jamie and prevented them from listening to Jaxx. Jaxx and Evelina looked at each other with panic for a second. Then Jaxx saw the Roo limb in Evelina’s hand and quickly snatched it from her as he said, “Eve bomb now!” as he charged the gerbil with the shoulder cannon and shoved him into the other two gerbils back through the door they came from and into a console. As Jaxx fell onto the gerbil he punched him in the face with the hand holding the limb to ensure contact.

While keeping the limb on the gerbil’s head, Jaxx kneed him in the daddy bags and used the limb to push the red button on the cannon before getting back up and running out the door as Evelina tossed her bomb into the room. Then Jaxx used the Roo limb to push the button labeled “Emergency Lock” on the door to close it as Evelina Yelled “Fire In The Hole! Run People Run!” Jaxx, Zod and Evelina grabbed the other crew members and began running full tilt.
